Entry into this tournament was by invitation only --- the top 16 members in
the Association at that time were asked to participate and was started
on January 28, 1998.
For the first time ever, there was a GM Championship Competition throughout this tournament
which was won by AxisSpclst (formerly known as AnAGamer).
